DFL to redirect donations to Simpson Housing Services

In light of Bill Davis’ federal indictment, the Minnesota DFL will direct the $2,065 he donated to the Party since current DFL Chairman Ken Martin took office in 2011 to Simpson Housing Services in Minneapolis.

“We find it morally reprehensible that someone would take money from the needy for their own personal use,” Martin said. “The facts will come out through the legal process but ahead of that finding, we will redirect Davis’ donations to Simpson Housing Services that supports and advocates for people who are experiencing homelessness.”

Martin said the organization’s mission aligns with the DFL’s commitment to social justice and he is confident the donation will be used to help those in need.
