Save the Affordable Care Act
President Donald Trump and Republicans in the U.S. House celebrated taking health care away from 24 million Americans with a party and premature press conference at the White House.
Their health care plan doesn’t provide care. Instead, it makes it harder for millions of Americans to afford the care they need. Republicans in the House lead by Trump think their win in the House yesterday means smooth sailing until their dangerous plan becomes law. They think they’ve already won. But its up to us to prove them wrong.
Make your voice heard
Trump and his Republican cronies think they’ve won, but they’re not there yet. The bill now goes to the U.S. Senate. Our Senators need to hear from YOU that the ACA is the law of the land and time spent trying to repeal it is wasting taxpayers’ dollars. Help stop an ACA repeal once and for all by calling offices and visiting district offices this week.
- I oppose repealing the ACA and will continue to hold YOU accountable for preserving its quality, affordable coverage.
- I will not tolerate repealing the ACA and taking away care from 24 million people and cutting Medicaid by $880 billion dollars in order to give tax cuts to the wealthy, insurance companies and other corporations.
- Despite what Trump says, his latest effort makes the bill worse by allowing states to end protections for people with pre-existing conditions, meaning people will face unaffordable premiums due to a pre-existing condition. I expect YOU to stand up for the tens of thousands in our district who could be charged higher premiums.
