Trump blurts out bizarre attack on ‘Crazy Joe Scarborough and his blood-curdling psycho wife’ for no apparent reason

Raw Story Logo

The twice-impeached former president unloaded on his old friends on MSNBC’s “Morning Joe.”

It’s not clear what set off Donald Trump late Tuesday morning, after the program ended, but he issued a statement insulting co-hosts Joe Scarborough and Mika Brzezinski and falsely claimed their show was struggling in the ratings.

“Crazy Joe Scarborough and his blood-curdling psycho wife (?), Mika, are going crazy because their ratings have absolutely TANKED,” Trump said in a statement issued on his blog. “They are wrong too often and always predictable. They were right about me in 2016, but I did better in the 2020 Election with 12 million more votes. Stay tuned!” Continue reading.

MSNBC’s Morning Joe notices something ‘strange’ about the GOP ‘personality cult’

Raw Story Logo

MSNBC’s Joe Scarborough noticed something “strange” about the “personality cult” that has developed around former president Donald Trump in the Republican Party.

The GOP has lost control of the House, Senate and White House since Trump was first elected, but the “Morning Joe” host said the more they lose, the more they seem to love the twice-impeached one-term president.

“It really is strange,” Scarborough said. “The more Republicans lose, the more of a personality cult Donald Trump seems to develop. You can look at his losses in ’17 and ’18 — historic losses. I mean, Republicans losing like they’ve never lost before in the House of Representatives, just as far as a pure, pure vote totals, [and in] ’19, they started losing governorships in the South and then in ’20, they lost the big race, lost the race for their presidency, lost Georgia, lost the Senate, lost the House.” Continue reading.

‘What the hell?’ MSNBC’s Morning Joe unloads on Ron Johnson for defending Trump’s ‘terrorists’

Raw Story Logo

MSNBC’s Joe Scarborough unloaded on “bigot” Sen. Ron Johnson (R-WI), who admittedhe was unafraid of white insurrectionists but would have feared Black Lives Matter protesters.

The Wisconsin Republican later feigned surprise over the strongly negative reaction to his comments, but the “Morning Joe” host called out the racism and inaccuracy in Johnson’s claims — and his subsequent denials.

“An ‘innocuous comment,'” Scarborough said, quoting the senator’s denial. “An innocuous comment where he said, I’m going to get in trouble for saying this.’ He knew exactly what he was doing. Let me tell you, Ron, the left doesn’t want you to be silenced, because the more you say bigoted things like the other day, the more you actually help the left and the more you hurt Republicans. So, yes, Ron, they don’t want you to be silenced, and of course, you aren’t silenced, because you actually wrote an op-ed in one of the largest newspapers on the planet, one of the most important newspapers on the planet. We keep hearing this, ‘I will not be silenced,’ as people write op-eds in the New York Times and Wall Street Journal and go on national news networks and get more access to the American people than anybody else. It’s just a stupid, stupid argument.” Continue reading.

MSNBC’s Joe Scarborough has met with attorney to discuss lawsuit against Trump: Report

MSNBC’s Joe Scarborough is still considering a lawsuit against former president Donald Trump.

The twice-impeached one-term president has privately griped that his enemies will be “suing me for the rest of my life,” according to a person who’s discussed the matter with him in recent weeks, and the “Morning Joe” host could be among those plaintiffs, reported The Daily Beast.

A knowledgeable source said Scarborough has met in recent months with Washington, D.C.-area lawyer Elizabeth “Libby” Locke, of the Clare Locke firm, to discuss a suit against Trump, who repeatedly claimed — without evidence — that the former Florida lawmaker had been involved in the death of a former staffer decades ago in his office. ‘Amazing’: Watch this stunning fact check on Trump’s claims about economic recovery

AlterNet logo

MSNBC’s Joe Scarborough was astonished by a detailed analysis of the economic pain suffered by many American workers — but not all of them.

“Morning Joe” contributor Steve Rattner, a former economic adviser to President Barack Obama, brought charts to fact check claims by President Donald Trump and his advisers about the recovery since the coronavirus pandemic destroyed the U.S. economy.

“The pace of job recovery is actually slowing fairly dramatically,” Rattner said. “One other small point, the 8.4 percent unemployment rate is really 9.1 percent — the Department of Labor said there was a misclassification error, so that number isn’t as good either. Let’s turn to this question whether we’re dealing with a broad-based recovery of jobs or something more narrow. What you can see on the next chart are the disparities in how different Americans have fared. This is because the pandemic or the economic crisis didn’t hit every industry equally, travel, recreation, restaurants, so on, where people of color, lower income, women work and it was hit disproportionately hard.”

Morning Joe busts Trump’s long history of racism in damning supercut video

AlterNet logoMSNBC’s Joe Scarborough blew up President Donald Trump’s attempts to portray Joe Biden as racist.

The president pounced on Biden’s suggestion that the Latino community was diverse, “unlike the African American community with notable exceptions,” and the former vice president was forced to clarify his remarks in a series of tweets.

Trump claimed Biden “totally disparaged and insulted” Black Americans, but the “Morning Joe” host laughed off those allegations as ridiculous given the president’s history. Continue reading.

Scarborough Spots Moment Trump Hurt 2020 Chances More ‘Than Any Democrat Ever Could’

The MSNBC host predicted how historians will one day judge Trump’s handling of the coronavirus pandemic.

Joe Scarborough on Tuesday pointed out when he believes President Donald Trump did the most damage to his 2020 reelection campaign.

According to the co-host of MSNBC’s “Morning Joe,” Trump likely doomed himself in April and May when he pondered injecting disinfectant to treat COVID-19, talked about taking an unproven cure and declared war on various government agencies and “every doctor or every scientist or every person who had spent their entire life planning for this moment when it came to vaccines.”

If Trump ends up losing the election in November, Scarborough predicted it would be those two months that would go down in infamy. Continue reading.

MSNBC’s Morning Joe busts Rush Limbaugh for risking listeners’ lives by pushing coronavirus ‘lies’

AlterNet logoMSNBC’s Joe Scarborough blasted conservative broadcaster Rush Limbaugh and other “media hacks” for spreading coronavirus “misinformation” that endangers their listeners’ lives.

The “Morning Joe” host called out Limbaugh for downplaying COVID-19 by comparing it to the flu or the common cold, but then changing course as the outbreak spreads without ever acknowledging his previous claims.

“What concerns me even more right now, because, again, that was the past and we’re worried about misinformation being spread right now, but there actually have even been in the past week some of these media hacks who have been promoting more bad science, more bad medicine,” Scarborough said. “Like having entire segments suggesting that people in Middle America are basically immune to this, this is a New York problem, that this is not a problem for Middle America. Having guests on that sit back and laugh at the thought that people in Middle America need to be concerned by the coronavirus. They do need to be concerned.” Continue reading.

‘Detached from reality and not well’: MSNBC’s Morning Joe scorches Trump’s ‘unbalanced’ behavior in Minneapolis

AlterNet logoMSNBC’s Joe Scarborough refused to show video from President Donald Trump’s campaign rally in Minneapolis out of respect to the president’s loved ones.

The “Morning Joe” host said the event showed the full range of Trump’s personality disorders and mental decline, and he said the president needed psychological care.

“There was an event last night,” Scarborough said, “where the president got out and said a few things, was a little unbalanced. As George Conway said, the husband of one of president’s top aides, said he appeared to have severe personality disorders that were on full display.”

#EndorseThis: Joe Scarborough Says Trump Will Quit Before 2021

The following article by Kurt Boyer was posted on the National Memo website August 21, 2018:

Will President Trump’s reshaping of the political landscape become his own undoing?

Morning Joe co-host Joe Scarborough believes that Trump’s feet will get too hot for the fire in 2020, and that the POTUS will leave the race voluntarily thanks to incendiary primary and general-election challenges, perhaps coming from Joe Biden, Mark Cuban and/or Elizabeth Warren.

Joe’s guest John Heilemann, a beat reporter and hands-on pundit during the 2015-16 Presidential campaign, offers an alternative opinion of what could happen in 2020 and 2021. Trump, he claims, will attempt to win in 2020, but quit if he wins reelection. The Orange One only wants to run for President again so he can prove the media wrong, and has no interest in remaining in the office after that, says the veteran journalist.
