U.S. Economy Expanded 2.3% in 2nd Quarter

Breaking from the Washington Post:

The nation’s economy expanded at an annual rate of 2.3 percent in the second quarter, picking up speed after a slow first three months of the year. The gross domestic product report, measuring economic activity from April through June, slightly missed economists’ expectations of 2.5 percent. It reflects an economy growing slowly but steadily. The GDP data is preliminary, however, and will be revised twice over coming months.
