New face covering requirements now apply inside county buildings

Hennepin County

On June 15, county commissioners approved new face covering requirements inside county buildings.

Face coverings are:

  • Optional for fully vaccinated building visitors and employees
  • Required for non-vaccinated building visitors and employees

If you feel sick or have tested positive for COVID-19, do not enter county buildings.

All are strongly encouraged to stay least six feet from other people, regardless of vaccination status.

Hennepin County helps keep public beach water safe

Testing Lake Water

Each summer, Hennepin County Public Health inspects water at beaches to help prevent spread of waterborne illnesses and keep beaches safe for recreation and swimming.

Stay up-to-date with Hennepin County’s beach map

Hennepin County’s interactive beach map shows the current water status of local public swimming beaches, including whether they’re contaminated and closed.

Practice healthy swimming to keep our beaches safe

People with a diarrheal illness should avoid swimming in public pools or lakes, sharing baths with others, and preparing foods for others. Learn more from the Minnesota Department of Health
