Democrat lawmaker claims that Ivanka Trump blocked him on Twitter

Rep. Ted Lieu (D-Calif.) is claiming that Ivanka Trump has blocked him on Twitter.

On Sunday, Lieu tweeted out an image showing that Trump, who is the president’s daughter and serves as an unpaid adviser in the White House, had blocked him on the social media site.

“Hey look, a senior White House official is afraid of tweets from a Congressman. Ivanka blocked me. Also, why is she in the White House?” he tweeted.

Lieu is an outspoken critic of the Trump administration, frequently calling President Trump’s actions unconstitutional and previously introducing legislation that would block some federal dollars from being spent at Trump Organization businesses.

Lieu has also repeatedly called for White House senior adviser Jared Kusher, Ivanka Trump’s husband, to have his security clearance revoked.

A First Amendment group sued Trump last month for blocking seven private citizens on Twitter, alleging that he is violating their constitutional rights to see the president’s tweets.
