Minnesota Delegates React to Night Two of the 2020 Democratic Convention

St. Paul, MN –  Below, the Minnesota DFL Party has collected reactions from the Minnesota delegation to the second night of the 2020 Democratic National Convention and the nomination of Joe Biden to be the next President of the United States of America:

“Joe Biden has a heart that can bring us all together.”

– Jules Goldstein from St Louis Park, Minnesota

“Tonight was so energizing! It was refreshing to see leaders unified around values of courage, honesty, kindness, and empathy. It gave me hope to see our Democratic Nominee, Joe Biden, commit to fighting to protect ALL Americans the way he fights to protect his own family. I ended the night feeling filled with hope for our country’s future.”

– Shivanthi Sathanandan from Minneapolis, Minnesota

“Tonight’s program gave us a deeper look at the Biden family, their strong character, and why they feel such deep compassion for others. Jill and Joe understand life’s struggles. Joe Biden can handle the tough decisions a president has to make. I truly believe he is a leader we can trust.

“As a high school teacher seeing Dr. Jill Biden in her former classroom, and hearing her talk about the difficulties our students face staring at a computer rather than sharing a classroom resonated with me.”

– Veda Kanitz from Lakeville, Minnesota

“I came away from tonight’s program realizing how fundamental understanding and empathy are to the political vision of Joe Biden and Kamala Harris. For the first time in a while, tonight showed me that we will have authentic leaders who consider the average American in their policy decisions. Joe Biden says that this election is a battle for the Soul of America and tonight gave us a glimpse of what the healed soul of America under a Biden administration would feel like.”

– Paul Buchel from Mendota Heights, Minnesota

“What an amazing 2nd night of the convention! I loved the roll call, seeing the United States through the eyes of people from all walks of life, who are standing up to Build Back Better!”

– Theresa Keaveny from New Ulm, Minnesota

“The roll call was different than in previous national conventions but it was interesting too. It really showed off the diversity that makes America so unique. Additionally, it gave us a better glimpse into why others are supporting Joe Biden.”

– Ceri Everett from Red Wing, Minnesota

“There are few figures in politics today that move me like Ady Barkan does. I am so grateful to him for the tenacity of his fight.”

– Raquel Sidie-Wagner from Minneapolis, Minnesota
