President Biden’s First Six Months: We are Building Back Better

Tuesday, July 20th marked six months since President Biden took office. He has followed through on his promise to build America back better, and the accomplishments of his administration and Democrat leadership are truly remarkable.

Highlights of the past six months:

  • Tax cuts
    • Child tax credits and earned income tax credits will cut child poverty in half while helping middle class families stay afloat, because no American should have to struggle to take care of their children
  • COVID-19
    • More than 315 million vaccines have been delivered thanks to the Biden Administration, and COVID-19 deaths have dropped by 92% since January
  • Checks
    • Almost 170 million Americans received $1,400 checks and additional stimulus payments through the American Rescue Plan
  • American Rescue Plan
    • President Biden and Democrats passed a plan to deploy millions of vaccines, economic payments, small business support, and tax credits in “the most significant legislation” in generations
  • Jobs
    • More than three million jobs have been created since President Biden took office six months ago, increasing employment by 60,000 jobs every three days in contrast to 60,000 every month
  • Infrastructure
    • President Biden and Democrats negotiated with Republicans on a historic infrastructure framework with an emphasis on climate-friendly initiatives, low-income and marginalized communities, and overall economic growth
  • Healthcare
    • Extended special enrollment under the Affordable Care Act has provided healthcare to more than two million Americans, and the Biden Administration cut premiums for anyone receiving care under the ACA during the pandemic
