Rep. Dean Phillips to Convene Affordable Housing Community Conversation Tomorrow

MINNETONKA, MINNESOTA – Tomorrow, January 24th, Rep. Dean Phillips (MN-03) will host a free and open-to-the-public community conversation on affordable housing at Maple Grove Government Center at 2:00 PM. Phillips will facilitate a solutions-focused discussion with a panel of experts before taking questions from the audience.

The event is Phillips’s seventh community conversation and 14th free public forum since his election. Past events focused on government reform, the opioid crisis, veterans services, workforce development, mental health issues, federal fiscal responsibility, and the environment and have resulted in Phillips taking direct legislative action in Congress.

Phillips To Convene Community Conversation On Environmental Innovation Saturday

Saturday, October 26th at Hopkins High School. Phillips will facilitate a solutions-focused discussion with a panel of experts before taking questions from the audience. The conversation will be centered on climate and environment innovations happening in Minnesota in the face of Congressional inaction. All are invited to attend and share their perspectives and ideas.

In Congress, Phillips has championed the Climate Action Now Act and the Energy Innovation and Carbon Dividend Act and sits on the New Democrat’s Climate Change Task Force.

Rep. Phillips to Host Community Conversation on Minnesota’s Opioid Crisis

MINNETONKA, MINNESOTARep. Dean Phillips (MN-03) will host a free and open-to-the-public community conversation focused on Minnesota’s opioid crisis on Monday, April 22nd in Shorewood. Phillips will join a panel of experts including health care providers, community advocates and government officials for a conversation about the opioid crisis and how Minnesotans from all walks of life are innovating and organizing towards a solution.

Rep. Phillips to Host HR1 Community Conversation Saturday, March 9

As House prepares to vote, Phillips reschedules open-to-the-public reform discussion for Saturday, March 9 in Hopkins

BLOOMINGTON, MINNESOTARep. Dean Phillips (MN-03) will host a free and open-to-the-public community conversation focused on H.R.1, the For the People Act, a sweeping campaign finance, ethics and electoral reform package that Phillips co-sponsored on his first day in Congress. A February blizzard forced the event, originally scheduled for February 20, to be postponed.

The House is expected to pass H.R.1 on Friday.
