A blunt-talking President Joe Biden shut down a conservative reporter on Thursday night who asked if Democrats are defunding police departments — firing back with a question about a QAnon claim that left the reporter grasping for an answer.

As Biden walked across the South Lawn, he engaged with Shelby Talcott from the conservative Daily Caller following his town hall event in Cincinnati. The exchange went like this, according to White House transcripts:

“Mr. President, can you clarify what you said about no — that there’s no — no one in the Democratic Party is anti-police”‘ Talcott asked.

“I didn’t say that,” Biden replied before adding, ” I said that that — that is not the Democratic Party’s position. I’m the Democratic Party; I am President. So is the Speaker of the House and so is the –- the Majority Leader. We are not defunding the police.” Continue reading.

Trump admits he was thinking about the Russia investigation when he appointed controversial acting AG

When asked his thoughts on the attorney general situation, Trump brought up Robert Mueller’s investigation totally unprompted.

When President Donald Trump firedAttorney General Jeff Sessions a day after the midterm elections and replaced him with former U.S. attorney and DOJ chief of staff Matthew Whitaker, there was an unspoken but obvious reason for his decision. So it was remarkable when Trump, in a Thursday interview with the right-wing Daily Caller, came out and said it directly.

“Could you tell us where your thinking is currently on the attorney general position?” asked Daily Caller reporters Saagar Enjeti and Benny Johnson.

Anti-Trump Reddit user falsely identified as Jacksonville mass shooter by right-wing media outlets

The following article by Chauncey Alcorn was posted on the Mic.com website August 28, 2018:

At least seven pro-Trump media personalities and outlets falsely identified an anti-Trump Reddit user as the mass shooter who attacked a Madden NFL video game tournament in Jacksonville, Florida, over the weekend.

Pizzagate conspiracy theorist Mike Cernovich and Daily Caller contributor Ian Miles Cheong tweeted out false reports Sunday accusing a Minnesota Reddit user named Pavel, 23 — who declined to give his last name, but goes by “ravenchamps” on Reddit — of being David Katz, the 24-year-old gamer from Baltimore who allegedly killed two people and injured 10 more Sunday before killing himself.

“Bitch Boy was a diehard Trump hater, as his Reddit account shows,” Cheong tweeted.
