Conway said “nobody” at White House talks about Clinton. These 75 Trump tweets say otherwise.

Kellyanne Conway’s remarks are debunked by her own boss.

Speaking to Chris Cuomo on CNN on Wednesday, White House counselor Kellyanne Conway made a bold claim about the Trump administration’s collective thoughts on Hillary Clinton: “We don’t care about her. Nobody here talks about her.”

Unless Conway was leaving out President Donald Trump, this is blatantly false. As @RVAwonk mentioned on Twitter, Trump has tweeted about Clinton dozens of times since he won the election. In my own search for Trump tweets since Inauguration Day (January 20, 2017), I came up with 75 tweets. That’s at least 75 times that Trump has mentioned Clinton on Twitter since he entered the White House.

Here’s a full list of the tweets since Inauguration Day, many of which include conspiracy theories about Clinton, the Christopher Steele dossier, and Uranium One:

Conway followed up on her CNN appearance with a clarification on Thursday:

So fun to see the predictable heads exploding, but I should’ve finished that sentence @CNN. “Nobody in the White House talks about Hillary Clinton” when noting whose presidential leadership = historic tax cuts & economic boom, reg reform, put ISIS in retreat.

This doesn’t really make any sense, given that Clinton herself never had a chance to show “presidential leadership” since she was never elected president. And Conway’s original remark came after she said, “we beat [Clinton] fairly and squarely in this country through this democratic elected process. But look, so many people still can’t get over the election results.”

CNN, for its part, wasn’t having it. On this morning’s New Day, host Alisyn Camerota noted, “I’ve challenged Kellyanne in the past to have an interview where she doesn’t bring her up, and it was impossible.”
