Donzel Leggett is a truly outstanding candidate

Thank you to District 47B

Wow. I’m humbled beyond belief. On Sunday, we officially launched the Donzel Leggett for State House campaign, and the turnout blew me away. It inspired me.

There are so many people who want to enact change — so many voices, just longing to be heard. I couldn’t have asked for a better event. Folks from District 47B are coming together to give their time, talent, and treasure to support me in my journey to represent our community at the Capitol.

What a powerful and energizing day! Continue reading “Thank you to District 47B”

Leggett begins House campaign

The following article by Mark Olson was posted on the Chanhassen Villager website May 1, 2018:

Donzel Leggett will kick off his campaign to represent Minnesota House District 47B (which includes all or parts of Chaska, Chanhassen and Victoria) with an event at the Chaska Community Center, 1661 Park Ridge Drive, 4-6 p.m. Sunday, May 6.

The event features a brief address from Leggett, a DFL candidate, about his personal story and views. It will also include short remarks from state-level representatives Minnesota House Minority Leader Melissa Hortman; U.S. representative and 2018 gubernatorial candidate Tim Walz and state auditor and 2018 gubernatorial candidate Rebecca Otto.

In just seven weeks since announcing his electoral bid, the Leggett campaign has raised over $25,000 in donations and already amassed a team of nearly 120 volunteers, according to a press release.
