Thank you to District 47B

Wow. I’m humbled beyond belief. On Sunday, we officially launched the Donzel Leggett for State House campaign, and the turnout blew me away. It inspired me.

There are so many people who want to enact change — so many voices, just longing to be heard. I couldn’t have asked for a better event. Folks from District 47B are coming together to give their time, talent, and treasure to support me in my journey to represent our community at the Capitol.

What a powerful and energizing day!

I’d like to thank DFL Minority Leader Melissa Hortman, DFL gubernatorial candidates State Auditor Rebecca Otto and U.S. Representative Tim Walz, Adam Jennings (representing the Dean Phillips campaign), DFL Chair Ken Martin and SD47 Chair Mary Leizinger for attending. You all took time out of your busy schedules to rally for me, and your strength gives me purpose. I am eternally grateful for your encouragement, insight and advice.

But the real thanks goes out to the people of this amazing community. I am truly amazed and overwhelmed by your dedicated support, your infectious energy, and your many kind words — and most of all, by your passion for wanting to make Chaska,

I want to thank every single one of you who attended. In the coming months, I look forward to meeting all of you in the 47B community. I’m excited to take this journey with you and talk about how I can better serve your needs — as a leader who will fight for you.

Donzel Leggett,
Candidate, Minnesota House of Representatives
