Trump’s Sister Bashes Callous Ivanka Over Separated Migrant Children In New Recordings

Maryanne Trump Barry also calls Eric Trump “the moron” in the latest audios released by the president’s niece Mary Trump.

New audio recordings reveal Donald Trump’s sister criticizing Ivanka Trump after the president ordered that migrant children be separated from their families at the border.

Maryanne Trump Barry also calls the president’s second son, Eric, “the moron” in the recording released to MSNBC by Mary L. Trump, the niece of Barry and President Trump.

Barry said she couldn’t fault comedian Samantha Bee for her stinging attack on the first daughter as “oblivious” — and worse — after Ivanka, who is also a White House adviser, posted a photo on Instagram in May 2018 of her hugging one of her kids while migrant families were suffering in detention facilities. Reality Check: Zelda Williams Tears Down Eric Trump For His Robin Williams Tweet

When Eric Trump tried to use a video of Robin Williams for political gain, Zelda Williams, the late actor’s daughter, delivered a sharp reality check.

President Donald Trump’s son tweeted a video last week of Robin Williams roasting presumptive Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden during the comedian’s 2009 HBO special, “Weapons of Self Destruction.” In the stand-up clip, Williams mocks Biden for “rambling” and his frequent speaking gaffes.

On Saturday, Zelda Williams, an actor, director and producer, retweeted Eric Trump’s post with a reminder that her father didn’t have stellar reviews for his father, either. In a 2012 roast, Robin Williams tore into then-businessman Donald Trump for incestuous comments about his own daughter and creepy behavior at the Miss Universe pageants he owned. Continue reading.

Fox News host is quickly back-peddling after spreading dangerous QAnon nonsense on air

AlterNet logoFox News host Jesse Watters has walked back comments he made praising the bizarre QAnon conspiracy theory during a Saturday interview with Eric Trump.

Watters called QAnon a “fringe group” — which he does not “support or believe in” — in a statement to Mediaite one day after he praised it for uncovering “a lot of great stuff.”

QAnon is a conspiracy theory that started on the imageboard 4chan in which a would-be secret operative with classified information posts clues to followers about the “deep state” and a baseless plot by President Donald Trump to destroy a global sex trafficking ring allegedly involving high-profile Democrats and their celebrity supporters. Eric Trump urges Americans to stock up on ‘quarantine wine’ from company’s winery as his dad spares visas for vineyard workers

AlterNet logoOn the same day that President Donald Trump ordered a temporary halt on some green cards, his second son promoted Trump-branded “quarantine wine” on social media.

Though he initially vowed to “temporarily suspend” all immigration to the country, the president ultimately signed a more limited order. The ban did not suspend the visas for agricultural workers from which Trump Vineyards benefits.

“The team at @TrumpWinery has you covered if your quarantine wine supply is running low! Check us out,” Eric Trump wrote on Twitter. His tweet featured a bottle of Trump rosé in front of a bouquet of roses. Continue reading.

Trump ordered to expand document search in suit alleging he endorsed pyramid scam

Washington Post logoNEW YORK — President Trump and three of his adult children have been ordered by a federal judge to search through 15 years of business records for materials that could inform a lawsuit alleging they profited by promoting a marketing scam targeting vulnerable investors.

Trump is being sued by four people who say they were duped into joining the multilevel marketing company ACN years ago because of his endorsement. The suit characterizes ACN as a pyramid scheme and accuses Trump of having made misleading claims as a paid pitchman prior to his presidency. All four say they suffered financially as a result.

The order on Friday by U.S. District Court Judge Lorna Schofield allows the plaintiffs to look further into the Trump Organization’s history — to 2005 — for others who may have been involved in the president’s deal with ACN. Continue reading.

“It’s time someone held them accountable,” said The Lincoln Project after launching its new anti-Trump campaign.

The Lincoln Project, a group of anti-Trump Republicans whose principal objective is to defeat the president in the 2020 election, is targeting his adult children with its new campaign.

Trump Organization’s donation to U.S. Treasury shows drop in foreign government profits

Washington Post logoThe donation is aimed at addressing concerns over the president’s profiting from foreign stays at his hotels

President Trump’s company said it donated $105,465 to the U.S. Treasury last month, an amount that it said reflects its profits from foreign-government bookings at its hotels last year.

The number is down sharply from its 2019 donation of about $191,000, showing a drop in spending by foreign governments at Trump hotels. This is the third year that the company, which Trump still owns, has made such a donation, part of an effort to avoid violating the foreign emoluments clause of the Constitution, which bars a president from accepting gifts or payments from foreign governments.

Trump’s son Eric Trump, who is running the company with his brother Donald Trump Jr., announced the donation last month on social media. Continue reading.

Taxpayers are on the hook for Eric Trump’s outing to president’s European golf clubs — and it could cost them a fortune

AlterNet logoPresident Donald Trump is not the only golf enthusiast in his family; his son, Eric Trump, is one as well. And according to Mother Jones’ Ross Choma, a European golf outing featuring the president’s son could come at a high cost to U.S. taxpayers.

Choma reports that members of President Trump’s golf club in Bedminster, New Jersey are being offered a chance to visit Trump Organization golf clubs this summer in Ireland or Scotland — and in those countries, Eric Trump will be leading the golf activities. The president has golf clubs in Doonbeg, Ireland and Turnberry, Scotland, and the chance to participate will cost $6500 (which doesn’t include airfare).

“Of course,” Choma reports, “an independent tour doesn’t have Eric Trump along for the ride. Whether or not he is worth the premium for club members, it will cost American taxpayers a significant amount.” Continue reading.

Season Over, Eric Trump Fires Undocumented Workers At Trump Winery

Railing against illegal immigration and promising to build a U.S./Mexico border wall are two of the ways in which President Donald Trump fires up his base at MAGA rallies, yet media outlets ranging from the Washington Post to the Spanish-language Univision network have reported that the Trump Organization has continued to use undocumented workers in 2019 — and some of the workers who were fired from the Trump Winery in Virginia this week are alleging that they weren’t fired until extensive use had already been made of their labor.

According to Post reporters Joshua Partlow and David A. Fahrenthold, supervisors at the Trump Winery fired seven employees on Monday because they lacked legal immigration status. And two of the seven are asserting that they weren’t fired until it became convenient for the Winery, which the president’s son, Eric Trump, oversees.

One of the fired workers, Honduras native and tractor driver Omar Miranda, told the Post, “They didn’t make this decision in the summer because they needed us a lot then.” And another worker, who was interviewed on condition of anonymity, told the Post, “I think they wanted to get their product out well, the grapes, to make sure that was taken care of — and once things were slow, they could fire us all.” Continue reading

Twitter Users Burn Eric Trump For Calling Impeachment Hearing ‘Boring’

One Twitter user suggested the reason the president’s son finds the hearing dull is because “extortion and being a traitor for Putin” is an everyday thing for a Trump.

The first public impeachment hearing for President Donald Trump is definitely a major moment in American history, but don’t tell that to the president’s son Eric Trump or White House press secretary Stephanie Grisham.

Both Trump’s second-born son and his third press secretary took to Twitter on Wednesday to criticize the hearing, with acting Ambassador to Ukraine Bill Taylor and State Department official George Kent, for being dull.

First, Grisham called the hearing “boring” and offered suggestions on what Congress should be doing instead of investigating a president for high crimes and misdemeanors.
