Kellyanne Conway threw a tantrum of her own when asked to explain Trump’s latest Twitter tirades. And she wound up making a devastating point against her boss.

Trump posted a series of panicky tweets Saturday morning, fretting about the prospect of his personal attorney “flipping” on him. On CNN’s “State of the Union” Sunday morning, host Dana Bash asked Conway to explain the tweets.

When Conway was unable to do so, Bash asked, “If the president’s going to tweet something like that, shouldn’t he own it and explain it?” Continue reading “Kellyanne Conway lashes out when asked to answer for Trump’s tweets”

Senior White House adviser Kellyanne Conway took private flights with former Health and Human Services Secretary Tom Price last year at the cost of thousands of dollars to taxpayers, according to a letter sent by a high-ranking Democrat Tuesday. He also accused the White House of denying the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee requested documentation of Conway’s trips.

Conway and some members of her staff took four private flights with Price between May and September of last year, according to the letter. The total for two of the flights was nearly $60,000, ranking committee Democrat and U.S. Rep. Elijah Cummings of Maryland wrote, citing private documents the committee managed to obtain. The White House denies a special counsel’s finding that White House aide Kellyanne Conway violated the Hatch Act by advocating for political candidates while conducting official government business.

The special counsel, Henry Kerner, told President Donald Trump in a letter that during television interviews late last year Conway “impermissibly mixed official government business with political views about candidates in the Alabama special election.”

Kerner pointed to interviews Conway did in November and December with CNN’s “New Day” and Fox News Channel’s “Fox & Friends” programs. The interviews came during a special election in the Yellowhammer State in which Democrat Doug Jones defeated controversial Republican Roy Moore. A home improvement contractor married to one of Donald and Melania Trump’s former household staffers is now working as an official at the Environmental Protection Agency, the latest example of someone with a personal connection to the Trump family finding work in the administration.

New Jersey-based Steve Kopec joined EPA’s Region 2 office in New York as a special assistant on Dec. 18, according to a memo obtained by POLITICO. “Steve comes to us from private industry, where he fashioned his career around customer service and organizational efficiencies,” EPA Region 2 Administrator Pete Lopez wrote in the memo. “Steve is an experienced manager with skills in team building, management and organization.” Continue reading “Husband of former Trump household aide scores government job”

Conway said “nobody” at White House talks about Clinton. These 75 Trump tweets say otherwise.

The following article by German Lopez was posted on the Vox.com website January 11, 2018:

Kellyanne Conway’s remarks are debunked by her own boss.

Speaking to Chris Cuomo on CNN on Wednesday, White House counselor Kellyanne Conway made a bold claim about the Trump administration’s collective thoughts on Hillary Clinton: “We don’t care about her. Nobody here talks about her.”

Unless Conway was leaving out President Donald Trump, this is blatantly false. As @RVAwonk mentioned on Twitter, Trump has tweeted about Clinton dozens of times since he won the election. In my own search for Trump tweets since Inauguration Day (January 20, 2017), I came up with 75 tweets. That’s at least 75 times that Trump has mentioned Clinton on Twitter since he entered the White House. Continue reading “Conway said “nobody” at White House talks about Clinton. Kellyanne Conway Under Federal Investigation After Ethics Complaint

Conway slammed Alabama Senate candidate Doug Jones on national TV in violation of the Hatch Act, document argues.

Federal officials have opened an investigation into activities by senior White House counselor Kellyanne Conway following a complaint that she violated ethics laws.

The probe aims to determine if Conway broke the law when she slammed Democrat Doug Jones — who is battling Republican Roy Moore to become Alabama’s next senator — on national TV. Continue reading “Kellyanne Conway Under Federal Investigation After Ethics Complaint”

The White House has finally acknowledged its position on Roy Moore and it’s repulsive

During an interview with Fox & Friends on Monday morning, White House counselor Kellyanne Conway urged Alabamans to vote for Republican Roy Moore, who is facing multiple allegations of child sex abuse, in the upcoming special election. Her reasoning: congressional GOP members needed a win on tax reform.

Doug Jones in Alabama, folks, don’t be fooled,” she said. “He will be a vote against tax cuts. He is weak on crime. Weak on borders. He’s strong on raising your taxes. He is terrible for property owners. And Doug Jones is a doctrinaire liberal, which is why he’s not saying anything and why the media are trying to boost him.” Continue reading “The White House has finally acknowledged its position on Roy Moore and it’s repulsive”

A straight-faced Kellyanne Conway says anyone in office who committed sexual assault should resign

White House adviser Kellyanne Conway refused repeatedly to say whether Alabama Republican Roy Moore should step aside in his Senate race over allegations he is a serial child molester.

Conway, who played an essential role in protecting President Donald Trump’s candidacy a year ago when tapes of him describing his pattern of sexual assault nearly sunk his campaign, told ABC’s Martha Raddatz that the allegations are disqualifying if they are true but would not give a clear answer on her view of the charges.

In the process of demurring on Moore’s guilt or innocence, Conway said elected officials who are guilty of sexual assault or harassment should resign — a call to action that would seem to implicate Conway’s boss, who openly bragged about grabbing women and has been accused of sexual assault by numerous former associates. George Conway is the man at the center of everything

If it weren’t for George Conway, the nation might never have met Monica Lewinsky, and Donald Trump might never have met Kellyanne.

In the 1990s, George was a quiet but critical presence in what Hillary Clinton would dub a “vast right-wing conspiracy” — a hotshot young attorney working to undermine President Bill Clinton by offering secret legal aid to his accusers and reportedly funneling salacious details to the Drudge Report. “This one disgruntled New York lawyer almost single-handedly brought down the president,” David Brock, the conservative provocateur-turned-Clinton acolyte, later wrote.
